November Inkurable Stampers Entry and Some News

Hello!
This is my entry for the November challenge over at Inkurable Stampers. The challenge was to make a christmas themed twinchie and include it in a project.

I decided to make a christmas card, a big one at that! This card is 6"x12" card

And here are some pictures of my twinchies...

I also have some news to share...

I have decided to leave my design team position at A2Z Scraplets. I was on the design team for over a year and it was so much fun! Thanks so much Julie for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your team and I loved every minute of it!!

Also, last month I had 5 cards accepted by Scrapbook Creations magazine!!! This is my first ever acceptance so I am super excited and can't wait to see them in print. And to anyone that has given up trying to get something published in the mags, I just want to say don't give up. Persistance does pay off, I have been subbing for a few years and this is my first acceptance, so keep trying...you just never know :)

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

Hello!
It has been a long time between posts. There was a cybercrop happening at ScrapBoutique over the weekend and I ended up completing two challenges.

This layout was for Chelsea's speed scrap...

And this was what I made for the card challenge, which was based on a sketch set by the lovely Liz Weber

World Cardmaking Day and a Question

It was world cardmaking day on Saturday 3rd October and the lovely Liz Weber was running a couple of fun challenges over at ScrapBoutique! I participated in three challenges and these were the cards I made

Birthday Card
Challenge: Follow a sketch

Thankyou Card
Challenge: Use one type of patterned paper

Birthday Card
Challenge: Monochromatic colour scheme

I am also entering this card into Challenge#52 over at The Cuttlebug Spot where the challenge is to create a card using a monochromatic colour scheme as well!

I have a question for all the card makers out there. What do you do with all the cards you make? I don't think I make anywhere near as many cards as I see people do on the web and I have accumalated heaps so far, that's after giving several away too! So I am always interested in finding out what people do with all the cards that they make. Leave me comment, I would love to know :)

September New Release Scraplets

Hello!

A2Z Scraplets have lots of new releases this month and I got to play with a couple of them. This is what I came up with...

Using the "teens" word scraplet and the "Shapes - Girls Face" scraplet

Using the "Sweethearts" word scraplet

I painted the chipboard and then covered it with kindy glitz." Kindy glitz can take a while to dry so it's a good idea to leave it overnight to dry.

This months challenge at the A2Z Scraplets blog is a sketch challenge! There are 3 scraplet packs up for grabs so go check it out! All the details can be found here.

A2Z Scraplets has also put out a call out for new design team members. If you love scrapbooking and working with chipboard, this could be right up your ally! All the details on how to apply can be found on the A2Z Scraplets blog!

Have a great weekend!

A Card

There was a cybercrop happening at the ScrapBoutique forum over the weekend and one of the challenges was to make a card based on a sketch created by the lovely Liz Weber. The extra criteria for the challenge was to use exotic colours and have a travel themed sentiment.

This is the card I came up with

I am also entering this card for this months challenge over at Creatalicious Challenges which is a new aussie challenge blog! The challenge at Creatalicious was to make something which has the colour brown and something metal. I have used a brown background and two metal brads. I have also used the A2Z Scraplet "rosebud" shape.

Thanks for visiting :)
